Stat-o-seals
are intended to seal on the shank of a bolt, immediately under
its head. They are made in one piece, the rubber sealing element
being molded directly into a metal retainer.
The
Stat-o-seal can be especially useful under flat head rivets
of nearly every kind because of relaxing of seating pressure
which nearly always occurs after a rivet is upset. This does
not alter the effectiveness of a Stat-o-seal.
